ARCTIC reporting from Computex 2010

ARCTIC looks back highly satisfied on a successful Computex in Taipei. The Asian IT fair is next to CeBIT and Gamescom one of the major events in the annual schedule of the Swiss company. A new logo as well as many new products were presented to the public the first time.
Besides the products, showgirls are playing a big role at exhibitions.
 		 The ARCTIC Girls clearly liked the products.
When posing, they were always coveted among photographers... ...and soon surrounded by a big crowd of them.
 
It's just fair enough, that the ARCTIC Breeze Mobile, combined with a ARCTIC POWER C1 Mobile gives you a fresh breeze, where ever you go. Besides the mobile device, ARCTIC also introduced the ARCTIC Breeze Pro. The desktop fan provides a 4-port USB-hub, so it's not only chic, but also useful.
 

In the ARCTIC EQUIPMENT Series, ARCTIC introduced during Computex their new series of mice the first time to the public. The series consits of simple office mice, wireless notebook mice and gaming mice with laser sensor.

Also a new line of notebook bags in different types (notebook bag, messenger bag and backpack) was shown for the first time.
 		 
After tapping into the market for audio products in the beginning of this year, the Swiss manufacturer now presents 8 new headsets. These reach from simple office headsets to professional audio headphones, Bluetooth- and 5.1 gaming headsets.  Also the 2.0- and 2.1 systems, launched under the label ARCTIC SOUND are new to this series. These reach from the simple USB-speaker up to...
the mighty ARCTIC SOUND S362, which offers with phenomenal 74 Watts RMS (50 watts subwoofer + 2 * 12 watts satellites) a real good sound with a huge capacity. In totally different dimensions, the lightweight ARCTIC SOUND S111 is situated. The 2 * 2 watts speakers are ideal for mobile use: In combination with an ARCTIC POWER C1 Mobile you get a complete, powergrid-independent sound system on the move, e.g. for bringing your music to the beach.
 
The cause for much discussion was the new ARCTIC HOBBY series, in which the manufacturer introduced three all new lines:

ARCTIC LAND RIDER, ARCTIC AQUA RIDER and ARCTIC SKY RIDER.
 		 Reaching from offroad-racers up to a firer-fighter truck, as well as different kind of boats - the new line offers the best ride for all. The quick cars brought good fun to the IT professionals on the show, even though they crashed into some visitors feet, nobody was seriously hurt.
 
The ARCTIC SKY RIDER 111 could win much attention for itself when he made his rounds above the audience.

The well-known Accelero family will soon get a new member: The Accelero XTREME Plus is compatible to the High end ATI boards 4850, 4870 as well as 5850 and 5870. For nVIDIA it supports almost all cards of the GTX-series, including the GTX 470 and 480. This would make him the first aftermarket cooling solution for the hot Fermi boards.
 
Twintech is already using this heatsink as stock cooler on their GTX 480. This is just one among numerous VGA partners, that supply their cards with coolers from ARCTIC COOLING. At the tradeshow, the company just showcased a selection of cards from manufacturers like ECS, Powercolor, Gigabyte, Sapphire and others.
 
 
For thermal compounds, ARCTIC COOLING is introducing the successor of the MX-3, the new MX-4. This thermal compound shall bring a better performance and an easier application than its predecessor.
