Mounting the i30 is a pleasantly simple process, the cooler is not remarkably wide, so we didn't have any tourble reaching the screws with our chunky screwdrivers.

Good Quality for a reasonable price

Freezer i30 does what it takes, cooler was effective during tests on Core i5 2600K! It is a wonderful fan who is a model with good cooling performance, low noise level and high durability. This cooler is designed for quiet fan operation and is a typical size of super cooler. With its high compatibility, it will fit in most cases. It's so silent that even at its peak operation , you can bearly hear the noise of the fan.

Equiped with a fan which is relatively quiet, even you reach the maximum speed, the noise is audible but not annoying at all. The installation is not complex so everyone should be able to deal with it. The heatsink itself is well designed and executed.

Excellent cooler, although very similar to 13 Pro. The performance and sound is also sligthy better than it's predecessor. Great cooler overall.

The cooler is compact and well-made, and put in a brilliant performance in our LGA1155 test system, outpacing both the BeQuiet Dark Rock Advanced and the Gelid Tranquillo Rev 2. The i30 performs better than Be Quiet's offering that cost over 50 percent more, as well as the Gelid Tranquillo Rev2. It cools very effectively without making a racket and it's great buy for LGA1155 CPUs.

A good balance between competitive cooling performance and low noise operation makes the i30 a good choise for budget-concious users looking to upgrade to a mid-range CPU cooler. This Freezer A30 offers a good performance and is quiet. It has showed good performance with it's structural changes comparing to Freezer 13 PRO in testing , which helped greatly in competing against ProLimatech Megahalems. The A30 offers a really nice look with a more attractive price comparing to Prolimatech Megahalems.

It is a great product and it's a very versatile product as it fits three different types of socket and countless types of CPU's. We are very happy with the results as Freezer I30 performed very well during testing under both stock speed and overclocked settings. The large heatsink clearly does its job and the direct-touch method seems to provide very good heat transfer between the CPU cover and the heatpipes.

The four exposed copper heatpipes at the base are face milled to a good finish, not sanded flat or warped from the manufacturing process which is nice to see. With its lone fan spinning at 1350RPM, noise is a modest 44.0 dBA. At the minimum fan speed of 400RPM, noise output falls to a whisper quiet 30.8 dBA. Bottom line, the 162mm tall Freezer A30 heatsink offers good cooling without much of a noise penalty.

Under load, the Freezer i30 really shone, dropping the temps by 20^oC compared to the stock cooler. The ARCTIC Freezer i30 is the most silent 120mm fan cooler CPU cooler that I have ever tested. Most manufacturers ran to 140mm fans to bring these levels down, but ARCTIC had a smaller, can fit in more cases approach to doing this. They have in fact left me with a smile on my face during the testing runs, as there is usually some sort of racket distracting me. With these tests, I had to keep reminding myself it was on, and is why I missed the 49th pass on the overclocked run. It is literally so quiet you forget it is there!
