For a passive solution, there's nothing better than the Accelero S1; adding the fans made it even better, with just a slight increase in noise. The only concern we have is that reversing the airflow of the casing's fans means that there will be no cool air flowing over the hard disks. Other than that, the Accelero S1 gets both thumbs up from us.

Incredible thermal performance coupled with dead silent operation makes it easy to recommend the Accelero S1 Rev 2. Arctic Cooling has a winning design on their hand, one that supports a wide range of videocards. We didn't think it was possible to offer such a performance combination at this high level, but we find ourselves now drinking the Swiss company's Kool-Aid.

As you can see, the results impressive. Of course, they received in a spacious, ventilated casing, so the test conditions were close to ideal. Arctic-Coolings Accelero S1 hat sich in Verbindung mit dem optionalen Turbo-Modul als klarer Leistungssieger aus unserem ungleichen Duell heraus kristallisieren können. Wer seine Hochleistungsgrafikkarte allerdings gut und vor allem sehr leise gekühlt wissen will, dabei nicht so tief in die Tasche greifen möchte, [...] der ist mit dem Accelero S1 für die aktuelle Beschleunigergeneration respektive dem S2 für etwas ältere Modelle bestens beraten.

Arctic Cooling zeigt mit dem Accelero S1 eindrucksvoll, dass absolute Topkühler nicht zwangsweise viel kosten müssen. Ohne wirkliche Schwächen präsentierte sich der Accelero S1 von der besten Seite und stürmte förmlich zum Sieg und stellt ab sofort die neue Referenz unter den Grafikkartenkühlern dar.

Legt man auf ein passives System wert, erreicht man mit dem reinen Accelero S2 schon gute Werte. Die beste Leistungsentfaltung erreicht man jedoch mit dem Turbo-Modul. Die damit erreichten Temperaturwerte sind wirklich erstaunlich.

The difference here is fairly obvious and somewhat unexpected. The 32 degree difference experienced during the most stressful parts of the benchmark. I would highly recommend this aftermarket cooler.

Its performance is highly superior compared with that of the cooler stock, in spite of the fact that the latter posseses a noisy fan. The Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 is a monster of a cooler and it does deliver excellent cooling performance. Installation of the S1 was very easy, requiring little more than the attachment of 4 screws and the pre applied thermal paste is of very high quality. The performance of S1+Turbo Module is really amazing. Each test results are leading far away. The difference between stock cooler and S1+Turbo is more than 20C. Inside the whole test, S1+Turbo Module temperature never exist 40C. For the overall performance is really not bad. Also, the S1 + Turbo Module has very less noise and impressive. It seems that the big heat fins and low rotation fan design will be the best cooling solution for high heat dissipation graphic card.

I have reviewed the Accelero S1 in the past and was very surprised by the results. With the Turbo Module this mod becomes an active cooling of the GPU. I do believe that the possibilities are very reasonable as far as overclocking goes.

It's silent running, it offers superior cooling performance to the reference cooler in our particular case. The Accelero S2 is simply superb in both design and performance.

Although Turbo Module speed fan is 1500rpm, not hight speed, it could be absolutely no noice in case. We found that's good performance and noiceless.It 's stable temperature at 51c with full load.

Accelero S2 simply blows the competition out of the water when using the heatsink without a fan attached. It is truly amazing to see a passive heatsink outstrip a stock active cooler. Accelero S2 promises to deliver superior passive cooling performance.

Turbo Module does work. I do have to mention that the Turbo Module is virtually silent, I couldn't hear it at all.

During peak loads however, that reading went up to 50, a very impressive number when compared against the temperatures recorded with the card's default passive cooler, which shot up to a scalding 80 degrees Celsius at full load.
