After using ARCTIC MX-3 for 6 months and 8 hours per day, it is still showing a very good performance. It didn't dry out and keep the same situation like freshly applied.

The results are good with a 2C reduction over Arctic Silver on both Intel and AMD platforms. Price wise, the MX-3 looks pretty good especially with the 4gm pack giving 33.3% more than most of the opposition. Overall, with price and cooling in its favour I am happy to recommend MX-3.

After today review, Arctic Cooling gave us another choice when comes to selecting a best thermal compound as Arctic MX-3 is not only top performer in term of thermal cooling but also comes with plenty of advantages over other standard thermal compounds such as no burn in time, non-electrical conductive and etc.

I was surprised that the MX-3 dropped my CPU an even 4 degree celsius at both idle and load. To pay a few extra dollars when I'm building my system to lower my temperature 4+ degrees is certainly worth it, especially for those who overclock when every single degree counts. With many other applications too, such as graphics card and chipset, a tube of MX-3 can go a long way for the money and give you results to show it.

Arctic Cooling's new MX-3 stands head and shoulders above all other thermal compounds. I'm honestly amazed by the sheere performance of ARCTIC MX-3. All recent Thermal compounds which I've tested are quite close to each other, but ARCTIC MX-3 does really raise the bar at this point.

I must state that keeps a quality paste with very high thermal conductivity, and strongly recommend it.

Performance wise, the compound ranks amongst the top performers out there. It would most definitely offer greater performance than the stock thermal pads or runny goop you find bundled with most CPU heatsinks. It also applies very easily. Some compounds are just too runny, or can be very dry. Arctic Cooling have got the MX-3's consistancy just right, in my opinion.
