Efficient Passive Cooling
Thanks to the patented passive cooling technology (DE 20200600), the Accelero S1 PLUS allows more air to pass through the fins than any other passive coolers, so that heat from the VGA card can be efficiently dispersed.

In a test conducted by HW Master, the Accelero S1 PLUS reduced the GPU temperature on Sapphire HD 6570 Ultimate by 38 degrees while it was completely passive.

Equip it with an add-on fan - S1 PLUS Turbo Module, the cooling capacity of the Accelero S1 PLUS can be upgraded to 120 Watts, which is adequate enough for some of the high-end VGA cards including AMD HD 7870 and NVIDIA GTX 670.

"The reference cooler is ridiculed"
"Perfect solution if you're looking models and noiseless passive configuration"

"The reference cooler is ridiculed in the test, because 30 degrees of difference is too much."
The Accelero S1 PLUS really improved from their previous version. You can even add the new turbo module to further improve the performance. Together with the turbo module, it can beat the stock cooler by 28 degrees during load. This amazing cooler really deserve a look for user who is looking for passive cooling solution.

"Almost 50 degrees difference from stock cooler!"
"The ARCTIC Accelero S1 PLUS has lived up to our expectations, effectively cooling a rather hot graphics card (with its GPU overclocked to 1.1 GHz) in fanless mode. When equipped with the Turbo Module, the Accelero S1 PLUS is head above any reference GPU cooler in efficiency and quietness. Without a doubt, it is the perfect choice... [more]

"From the test results, there are huge temperature differences between S1 Plus and stock coolers. Comparing with the stock cooler, the S1 Plus is almost 40 C cooler at load, and 13 C cooler in idle. We will not only recommend this cooler to all lovers of silence, but also recommend this cooler to all gamers and overclockers."

"Leaving the stock coolers envy"
ARCTIC with its two cooler has once again proven their well performance. Both the Mono Plus with 200 watts of heat dispute capacity, as well as the Accelero S1 Plus which can be run passively or active cooling with its turbo engine. The Accelero S1 Plus offers a very good passive cooling operation.

The cooling performance is impressive, in the test it lowers the temperature by 20 degrees comparing to reference cooler. With wide compatibility, it can be fitted to any fan, with the possibility of passive operations and liabilities, this is a good alternative if you are looking for quiet operation.

How to unplug the PCI-E power connector?read

How to use the 4-pin adapter?read

Under what conditions do you need a 4-pin adapter?

Your graphics card

1. is using a non-standard cooler socket (e.g. 5-pin, flipped polarity) or
2. is using a passive cooler as the stock cooler

How to connect the 4-pin adapter?

The differences between 7V and 12V socket*

7V: Moderate fan speed. It gives the best balance between cooling performance and noise level. It is recommended for normal usage.
12V: Full fan speed depending on the fan design. It gives the best cooling performance and it is recommended for high duty usage.

*The fan speed is fixed regardless of the GPU's condition.

Steps

1. Ensure your PSU has spare power source and plug in the 4-pin adapter.

2. Connect your ARCTIC graphics card cooler's power plug to the preferred socket.

Please note: Make sure the connector is plugged into the corresponding socket (i.e. A 3-pin plug should be connected to a 3-pin socket and a 4-pin plug should be connected to a 4-pin socket). If the plug is connected to the wrong socket, the motor will burn immediately due to incorrect polarity.

3. Insert the graphics card with ARCTIC graphics card cooler into PC case.

4. Tie up the cables to avoid any interference with the fan set or other hardware.
